What Happened Today?

Monday Set-Ups:

Every Monday, Tom and Erin look at which charts are shaping up as "ones to watch" for the week, but to start, they reviewed last week's Monday Set-Ups "picks", PARR ($20.40) and SHOP ($114.97). Erin's pick, PARR was up at $20.66 for the week for a 1% gain. In all fairness, Greg picked Tom's Monday Set-Up and he said on Tuesday, he wouldn't have picked it...so, sorry, Greg, but SHOP was at $97.85 on the week. Today's Set-Ups included MetLife (MET) for Erin at $53.87 and Kulicke and Soffa Industries (KLIC) for Tom at $23.70.

Earnings Spotlight (EarningsBeats - John Hopkins): John highlighted Verisk Analytics (VRSK). He said they had reported excellent earnings and he wants to wait just a bit longer for it to get closer to the 20-EMA. If you enter at this time he recommended a tight stop below the 20-EMA.

Ten in Ten Before One: In this regular segment, Tom reviews ten charts in ten minutes with Erin's comments and comments from the Twitter "peanut gallery" peppered in there. Send in your symbol requests via Twitter (@mktwatcherslive) before the show and we'll try and add them. Symbols reviewed today: V, TWTR, BIIB, MSFT, WTW, MRK, BABA, RDWR, SB and BX.  You'll find all of the charts in the MarketWatchers LIVE ChartList, located at the top of the MarketWatchers blog homepage.

DecisionPoint Report: On Monday Erin analyzes DP indicators to give us a heads up on the market conditions as we start the week. She also reviewed the "big four": Dollar, Oil, Gold & Bonds. Don't miss the DecisionPoint Weekly Wrap by Carl Swenlin on Saturday morning to get the scoop on market action the prior week and find out what the indicators are suggesting for the future. She highlighted the fact that intermediate-term indicators are very bullish with plenty of room to rise before becoming overbought and although short-term indicators are getting overbought, they still have some headroom. She expects the market to continue higher through December based on their positive trajectory.

Looking Forward:

Tune in on Wednesday at 12:00p - 1:30p EST on 12/5. We'll have an "Everything StockCharts!" segment as well as a "What Would You Do?" question!
