Mailbag: Chart Watchers Weekly(Posted 29 November 2000) Q: Thank you for your "Chart Watchers Weekly". I enjoyed reading the print but I received no Charts (pictures). I know the problem is on my side but I am hoping you can give me a suggestion as to my correcting this problem. Thanks for your assistance. A: If you are subscribed to the HTML version of our free weekly newsletter, the message itself doesn't contain any pictures. Instead, it contains links back to the pictures on our website. If you are online and you have a web-enabled mail viewer (like Outlook Express), your computer will download the pictures when you view the message just like on a webpage. Make sure that you are online and that your mail program supports HTML email. Hope this helps Q: Why am I getting multiple copies of your newsletter? I only need one! A: Sometimes people subscribe using one email address (maybe one that forwards to their main address) and forget that they did it. Then, when they resubscribe using a variation on the first address, or another address entirely, they get duplicate copies. The same thing could happen if you were subscribed to the text version, then also subscribed to the HTML version without taking yourself off the text list. (They are two different lists.) You can use the form on the Chart Watchers Weekly Subscribe page to manage your own subscriptions -- subscribe or unsubscribe (gasp!) to both text or HTML. If the form doesn't work for you, we'll be glad to do it manually, of course. Take care |
