About Dynamic Yield Curves

Our Dynamic Yield Curve charts shows the relationship between interest rates and stocks over time. You can view small increments of days and relationships up to 30 years using our Yield Curve Tool.

Getting Started

You can change different aspects of the yield curve using the toolbar and navigate the yield curve chart. Use the following commands to change the way data is displayed and to view data.

Date Slider

The date slider is the red vertical line on the chart. You can view different time periods by clicking and sliding the line over the years you want to examine. A "closeup" of the time period will show up in the blue chart. The black line is the yield curve at the slider's current position. The fading 'trails' behind the black line show you where the yield curve was in the days prior.

Animation

You can animate the chart and watch the changes over a period time by clicking "Animate" on the Yield Curve toolbar.

Trail Length

Use the "Trail Length" bar or the "Date Slider" to shorten the time period the animation scrolls through. You can also pause at any time during the animation cycle.

Show Info Boxes

To see specific prices, point drops and increases, click the "Show Info Boxes" checkbox.
