In this edition of StockCharts TV's Sector Spotlight, after a volatile week in the markets and the completion of the monthly charts for January on Monday (1/31), now is a perfect moment to take a good look at the developments on these long-term charts. In the Asset Class segment, I look at the SPY, GOVT, IEF, DJP, GSG and $USD, noting some important downward breaks in the bond markets and upward breaks in commodities. For sectors, all charts are on the agenda and are showing some nasty reversal bars. All in all, these monthly charts are not looking as strong anymore as they used to.
